Job description: HEKS/EPER, Swiss Church Aid is the aid organisation of the Protestant Churches of Switzerland and supports projects to combat hunger, poverty and injustice in 31 countries on four continents. HEKS/EPER also provides emergency relief for victims of natural disasters and armed conflict worldwide and supports the welfare and social work of the Reformed Churches in Eastern Europe and in the Middle East. In Switzerland, HEKS/EPER champions the rights and the integration of refugees and socially disadvantaged people. HEKS/EPER is a member of the ACT Alliance.
In Bangladesh HEKS/EPER implements Humanitarian Aid Projects in the Rohingya Response including interventions for the Host Community since 2017. The focus of these projects is on construction projects (including shelter, camp infrastructure, and WASH), a Wash in Health Facilities Capacity building project covering the whole district, as well as vegetable gardening in the camps. Projects are mostly directly implemented. The annual budget is around 5 million USD. Development cooperation in Bangladesh is managed by a separate team.
To support the team, HEKS/EPER is looking for a strong candidate (F/M) with international experience to fulfil the role of:
Admin, HR & Finance Manager, 100%
Your responsibilities:
Ensure the spread, adherence, and monitoring of HEKS/EPER finance procedures as well as ensure compliance with financial rules in the management of the programme’s main partnerships and administrative and legal frameworks.
Lead the programme’s global financial management and monitoring, including capacity building, budget follow-up, cost analysis, forecasting, ensuring proper assignment of transactions, as well as supporting the elaboration of budgets, regularly conducting monitoring and supervisions to the field, manage financial audits and ensure internal control and fraud prevention measures.
Leading administrative and Logistic support for the base team. This also includes organizing logistics for travel arrangements and events, leading contract development, assisting and overseeing procurements and leading administrative formalities with authorities i.e. renewing work permit, Visa and security clearance of expatriate employees, VAT & TAX, Government approvals, etc.
Lead HR management by ensuring salary payments, overseeing and organizing recruitments, introduction of staff to financial and administrative procedures.
Supervise the administration and finance staff (small team).
Your profile:
Professional diploma or university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Audit (or equivalent) and an expatriate experience (at least 1 year outside Bangladesh) in a similar position in an international NGO is mandatory; prior knowledge of humanitarian contexts and previous experience in Bangladesh would be an added value.
Fluent in English (written and spoken), you bring advanced IT knowledges (including accounting software).
Organized, proactive, autonomous, rigorous, analytical, sense of human relations, diplomacy, communication skills, willingness and motivation to work in an international and intercultural context.
