Job Responsibilities
- Ensure to develop and implement BRAC wide purchasing strategy. Maintain strong working relationships to gain buy- in and early market engagement with the key stakeholders of Programs and Enterprises
- Lead the team members for taking challenge, enhance and standardize existing procurement practices to ensure conformity of approach, generate economies of scale and value for money
- Build and develop capacity of the procurement team by utilizing strong change management techniques and focusing on people development. Coordinate to maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers as required
- Ensure value tendering process for large strategic purchases as well as other purchases. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely & qualitative procurement services. Conduct quarterly and half yearly coordination meeting both internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the procurement governance process, ensuring policy compliance. Ensure maximum satisfaction of the stakeholders by providing right products at the right time at the right place at right cost
- Observe market trend and SWOT analysis for supplying good quality products through competitive bidding. Explore product and services for maximizing business opportunities
- Develop supplier database for the key commodities and services. Ensure cost savings together with a range of additional benefits including improved supplier performance, improved quality of service and total cost of performance along with risk management
- Supervise timely procurement of diversified enterprises as well as BRAC and maintain agreed SLA
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
- Any other task as and when required by the management

Educational Requirements
- Masters in any discipline/ MBA/ B.Sc. Engineering/ Economics/ Accounting/ Finance/ Management/ Supply Chain management/ Engineering or any other relevant discipline from any recognized University with minimum second class in all exams/CGPA 2.5 and above or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 year(s)
Additional Requirements
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 10 years’ experience in Commercial Organization/FMCG/ MNC/ Large NGO /INGO/ Manufacturing Industry etc. in the field of procurement and Supply Chain Management and 5 years’ experience in the people management role of procurement and supply chain management
- Additional Requirements:
- KNOWLEDGE: knowledge on procurement discipline as well as specialization in procurement and supply chain
- SKILLS: proven ability to negotiate with relevant stakeholders, ability to work with a diverse team and willingness to work under pressure, capacity to formulate issues, problems, and progress on work, capacity to manage several assignment simultaneously
- COMPETENCIES: carry out sourcing, market analysis, and supplier appraisal, negotiating and selecting offers, formulation and concluding contracts and managing contracts should the basic competencies. Leadership and managerial capacity are the key competency to lead and to manage such team
