- More than 745,000 Rohingyas have fled from Myanmar since August 2017 and are now in camps in Bangladesh. In Cox`s Bazar, the needs of the refugee families are enormous. Agrajattra provides services of primary health care for the most vulnerable people and fights against malnutrition. We distribute hygiene supplies, construct latrines and wells, and treat the water to make it drinkable. In order to give a comprehensive response to the needs of the Rohingya children, we aid the most vulnerable with community-based child protection, psycho social support and case management.
- The CM officer is responsible for supervising Child Protection Case Workers responding to the needs of children exposed to violence, exploitation, abuse or neglect.
Job Responsibilities
- Case Management Supervision :-
- Schedule and supervise case management meetings at least every two weeks. Share minutes of case management meetings with CM Technical Coordinator-TdH.
- Conduct weekly supervision meetings with all caseworkers, providing technical advice on cases and psycho social support to caseworkers. Facilitate peer-to-peer support groups where appropriate.
- Support individual cases when required and provide regular monitoring of all aspects of case management services.
- Review staff case load to ensure they are manageable and share challenges with CP Team Leader.
- Monitor timescales for response, decision-making, placement, follow-up and review
- Ensure access to material, logistical, and further technical support and set eligibility criteria for material and other support in the framework of the Emergency Case Management Fund
- Review and analyze trends in case load using CPIMS+ to inform programming
- Conduct regular case file audit and ensure that protocols and principles respected and that caseworkers use the CPIMS+ effectively and safely.
- Organize case conferences with relevant stakeholders for high-risk and complex cases.
- Staff and project management :-
- Follow up caseworkers’ attendances, leaves and provide monthly attendance sheets to the CP Team Leaders to facilitate payroll process
- Ensure regular feedback to the caseworkers under her/his responsibility and participate in the appraisal process when needed
- Support disciplinary measures application if needed
- Identify needs and support the planning of capacity building for the caseworkers under her/his responsibility together with CP Team Leaders.
- Plan, implement and track budget expenditure, progress against targets and logistics needs at the team level.
- Support the implementation of M&E plans for case management activities.
- Coordination and representation :-
- Ensure regular communication with the CP Team Leader on field’s updates, achievements and challenges via meetings, reports and ad hoc communication upon request and needs
- Ensure close coordination with PSS and Community Based teams for the purpose of identification and referrals
- Coordinate with Agrajattra Others departments to ensure timely and planned procurement and distribution within Emergency CM Fund
- Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships with the key stakeholders in her/his designated area
- Ensure that AJ CM services well known within her/his designated area through strong representation of AJ in the Camp-level meetings.
- Child Protection :
- Promote, and ensure CM activities are in line with the Child Protection Minimum Standards and humanitarian principles
- Ensure that CM activities are well-integrated in the Bangladeshi child protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines
- Others :
- Adhere to and ensure the team/s under her/his responsibility follows Agrajattra administrative and logistical regulations and procedures
- Ensure AJ Code of Conduct is respected at all times, cases of abuse are reported through established reporting channels in a timely and confidential manner
- The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project needs.
- Location : Rohingya Refugee camp no. 26, 27 Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
- Reports to : Child Protection (CP)Team Leader.
- Start date : 01 June,2021
- Contract duration : Total project duration – 18 Months but initially Up to 31st Aug 2021 after successful completed provision period of 1st 03 Months, full-time position (with possibility of contract extension)

Additional Requirements
- Age 30 to 45 years
- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- At least 3 years experience in similar position
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of child protection / protection/ SGBV/ social work / case management combined with a team management experience
- Good knowledge of the MS office software
- Knowledge of child protection systems in Bangladesh/ Excellent knowledge of child protection issues and best practices (Child Protection and SGBV)
- Languages:
- Fluent in Chittagong dialect and English
