- The Ngo Platform Partnership Manager will play a key role in strengthening principled partnerships in the Rohingya response, and facilitate coordination amongst Bangladeshi NGOs and with international NGOs, with the support of NGO Platform Coordinator.
Job Responsibilities
- Your detailed responsibilities in this position would be
- Mission 1: Coordination with Bangladeshi NGOs.
- Facilitation of L/N/I/ NGOs to develop a voice and stand on issues affecting NGOs in the Response
- Responding in a timely manner to all queries received from/about partners
- Support the NGOP Platform Coordinator in organizing regular meetings and consultations with partners
- Identifying and supporting partners’ initiatives including on advocacy and communication for the NGO Platform, in coordination with the NGO Platform Coordinator as well as an Information Management Officer.
- Mission 2: Representation & Communication
- Stay informed on key national, regional and international developments regarding issues pertinent to the Rohingya response, adequately informing the leadership and members.
- Support the NGO Platform in the representation of NGO Platform members at meetings with Government agencies such as RRRC, DC, NGOAB
- Liaison with operational coordination mechanisms at Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka level, Government representatives, donors and other external actors, as advised by Steering Committee and Line Manager.
- Serve as PSEA and Gender focal point for NGO Platform and build PSEA and Gender awareness and capacity of NGO Platform members
- Regularly represent NGO concerns related to these issues in PSEA Network and GiHA working groups.
- Support in building NGO capacity on PSEA and gender issues with ISCG/ other relevant stakeholders
- Mission 3: Partnerships
- Support in leading the work of Partnerships Working Group of NGO Platform (comprising approx. 15 local, national and international NGOs);
- Promote principled partnerships in the Rohingya refugee response, particularly as relates to the commitments made in the Grand Bargain, Charter for Change and other such international agreements;
- Contribute addressing perception, language & cultural gaps between international & national coordination mechanisms and locally-led response;
- Liaise with NGOs, UN, donors, government & other stakeholders to advance principled partnerships & the long term sustainability of response
- Contribute to the localization task force efforts by representing concerns of Rohingya refugees, host communities and NGOs.
- Mission 4: Advocacy & Communication
- Support advocacy & communication initiatives of the NGO Platform in close collaboration with the NGO Platform Coordinator
- Contribute in the development key advocacy messages and communication products of NGO Platform on partnership through an inclusive and participatory process of NGOs;
- Support Platform’s advocacy engagement with national offices of relevant stakeholders and media outlets to maintain a good understanding of issues and initiatives of interest to NGOs in Rohingya response and ensure that advocacy efforts and messages are coordinated and aligned at national level and informed by insights from NGO management staff.
- Mission 5: Support to the Secretariat

- An excellent professional track record with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in programme management and coordination related to developing partnerships, accountability, capacity building and localization in the humanitarian sector.
- Advanced degree in Public Policy, Development Studies, Humanitarian Action and/or related Social Sciences.
- Some experience in research, communications and advocacy work on humanitarian issues with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Understanding of NGO, UN and donor operations at country and regional level.
- Proven analytical skills & ability to work with others to develop strategy into action and communicating and influencing this to a wider audience.
- Demonstrated ability to work creatively, innovatively and effectively with limited direct supervision.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving and negotiation skills. The ability to remain calm whilst dealing with conflicting priorities/work under pressure is important.

Salary
- Gross monthly Salary BDT 131,000/-
Compensation & Other Benefits
- Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year.
- Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary.
- End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year)
