  • The role of the Shimmy Upskill Technical Trainer is to conduct one-on-one training using a tablet-based program. Upskill trainers will provide guidance and support to RMG staff under this tablet-based program and ensure training is conducted as per the contract with customers. It is a great opportunity to build a bright future by utilizing skills and professionalism through technical mechanical training.
  • Contract Details:
  • 6 months in the initial stage. The duration of the contract may be extended based on performance.
  • Workplace – Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assisting the training team to understand Shimi’s training methods and provide training to the garment workers to achieve the project objectives.
  • To build confidence in Shimi by providing one-to-one support to the trainees in the factory and reporting their feedback.
  • To assist the trainees in quality training by gaining comprehensive knowledge of Shimir trainings.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to understand trainee context and training impact.

  • Eligibility:
  • Experienced working in garment sector as a trainer or advanced machine operator.
  • Responsible and respectful of work environment.
  • Honest and skilled communicator.
  • A mindset to get things done with tenacity, creativity and decency.
  • Inspiration to establish a small and fast emerging organization at the top.
  • Mindset to accomplish important tasks.
  • Always eager to learn and teach others.
  • Familiarity with technical services and e-learning.
  • You must have:
  • 3+ years of experience as a sewing machine operator trainer or 5+ years of experience as a multi-skilled machine operator in the garment industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of working in Garment factory.
  • The mindset of doing a particular task completely.
  • Digital Skills – Microsoft Office, Online Surveys.
  • Experience working with diverse teams globally.
  • Experience working with international development organizations or in local training centers.
