Educational qualification
DE/UC (Seaman, Communication & Technical): SSC/Equivalent/Vocational pass candidates from science department can apply. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.50. Candidates with superior Mathematics in SSC examination and ‘A’ grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute will be given preference in recruitment.
Medical: SSC/Equivalent pass candidates with Biology can apply. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.50.
Patrolman, Writer, Store & MODC (Navy): SSC/equivalent pass candidates with minimum GPA of 3.00 can apply.
Steward and Cook: SSC/Equivalent/Vocational Pass candidates with minimum GPA 2.50 can apply.
Topaz: You can apply for this post only if you have passed 8th standard.
Physical Qualification: Height should be five feet six inches (5′-6”) for candidates for Seaman and MODC (Navy) posts. Apart from this, height of five feet eight inches (5′-8″) for Patrolman branch and five feet four inches (5′-4″) for other branches can be applied. Candidates should have normal chest size (male 30 inches and inflated 32 inches). Apart from this, vision should be 6/6. Weight should be determined according to height and age.
Other Qualifications: Candidates age should be between 17 to 20 years of seafarer as on 01 January 2023. But age limit for MODC (Navy) post is 17 to 22 years. Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply for the posts. Apart from this, applicants should know how to swim.
Salary and Allowances: Recruits will be paid salary and allowances as per Armed Forces norms. Apart from this, there will be other benefits.
