Navy Officer Cadet job circular 2022

Bangladesh Navy has recently released the manpower recruitment notification for 2023B Officer Cadet Batch. According to the notification, both men and women are getting the opportunity to apply for the 2023B officer cadet batch in Bangladesh Navy. The application process has already started. Application for the post of officer cadet can be made next Till 30 September 2022.

2023B Officer Cadet Batch Recruitment

Educational Qualification: To apply for the 2023B Officer Cadet Batch, applicants must have passed the Secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations with a minimum GPA of 4.50 from Science Department and both examinations must include Mathematics and Physics subjects. English Medium students must have ‘A Grade’ in at least three subjects and ‘B Grade’ in two subjects out of 6 subjects in ‘O’ Level and ‘B Grade’ in at least two subjects in ‘A’ Level. However, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects in both the exams.

Physical Qualification: In case of male candidates, height should be minimum 5 feet 4 inches, weight 50 kg, chest size 30 inches normal and 32 inches when stretched. In case of female candidates, height should be at least 5 feet 2 inches, weight should be 47 kg and chest size should be 28 inches normal and 30 inches when stretched.
Applicants age should be between 16.5 years to 21 years as on 01 July 2023, but in case of armed forces candidates age should be between 18 to 23 years. Both men and women must be single and citizens of Bangladesh to apply.

Application Process
Apply as officer cadet in navy only online. Applicants to apply online www.joinnavy.navy.mil.bd Enter this website and click on the APPLY NOW button on the right side of the home page and follow the application procedure and fill the application form properly. After duly filling the application form, the applicants have to pay the application fee of Tk 700 (excluding charges) through online banking or mobile banking.
After completing the online application process, candidates should download and print Form Commission-1A and Personal Information Form along with call-up letter and bring other necessary documents with them during the interview.

Selection process and training
Candidates will be initially selected through preliminary health examination and preliminary interview from among the applied candidates and written test will be conducted on their intelligence and English proficiency and general knowledge. Preliminary health examination and preliminary interview will be held at Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna centres. Candidates will be finally selected through examination and final health examination by the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) from among the qualified candidates. The final shortlisted candidates will be given regular commission in the rank of ‘Sub Lieutenant’ after successful completion of 10 weeks training firstly at Bangladesh Military Academy followed by 18 months as Officer Cadet and 18 months as Midmanship at Bangladesh Naval Academy.

The final selected candidates will be awarded BSc (Hons) in Maritime Science for executive branch cadets and BBA degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) for supply branch cadets besides professional training at the academy. Apart from this, cadets of engineering and electrical branches will be given BSc engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) and Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).

Privileges and Promotions
Finally selected candidates will be given pay and allowances of officer cadet post as per the pay scale of armed forces along with other benefits. Later on promotion as midshipman they will be paid in higher scale. Apart from this, meritorious cadets and officers at various stages of training and after receiving commission will get facilities like training abroad, higher education at government expense, accommodation, children’s education expenses, medical expenses etc. Apart from this, there is also the opportunity to travel abroad in UN peacekeeping missions and gain financial solvency.
