- Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the AHP Bangladesh Consortium Multi-Year Program with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox`s Bazar with the support of Plan International Bangladesh and DFAT-AHP.
- Project duration- 30 June 2023 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Teknaf with substantial field activities at different camps and host community at Teknaf. The job may be regularized after the completion of 3 months of services under FIVDB.
Job Responsibilities
- The Finance Assistant will be responsible to assist the day-to-day administrative, financial, and record-keeping management of the Project. S/he will be reportable to Admin and Finance Officer.
- • Assist Admin & Finance Officer in Preparing vouchers, checking bills of AHP Project.
- • Assist Record keeping of all invoices and other bills, staff advance, etc. and cross check for quality ensuring Checking petty cash expenses, daily cash count sheet and petty cash reimbursement
- • Assist Procurement of all kinds of stationery and supplies and keeping a stock register.
- • Assist and maintain and preserve Books of accounts such as: Cash Book/ Fixed Assets Register/General and subsidiary ledger/ Cheque issue register.
- • S/He will ensure proper inventory of resources at field level. Assist Liaison and correspondence with various Banks. Organization, NGO and other offices.
- Ensures that FIVDB and Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures

Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Studies (MBS), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
- Experience in procurement will be preferred.

Additional Requirements
- Age 25 to 50 years
- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- Fluency in Bangla (both reading and writing).
- Fluency in Chittagonian and/or Rohingya is a plus for this position.
- Prior experience of working in greater Chittagong Division and knowledge.
- English proficiency and Computer knowledge is a plus.
- Willing to take challenge of working in a participatory approach for Rohingya Community/ Host Community.
- Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
- Understanding of local culture.
- Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Technical expertise, skills and knowledge
- Essential-
- Fluency in English and Bangla (both reading and writing), Chittagong language and/or Burmese language is considered as special advantage.
- Good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian principles and established international child protection minimum standards.
- Pedagogical knowledge and skills in developing and working with pedagogical material.
- Must be good in creative thinking, management of space and materials, timetabling and events planning.
- In depth knowledge of child rights, child wellbeing and psychosocial needs.
- Desirable-
- Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership and is able to support and train local staff and also able to work with disaster affected communities in a sensitive and participatory manner.
- Strong team management, staff capacity building and motivation skills in teamwork and networking.

- Has basic awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity.
