Job context
  • The loan program specialist will be responsible for the direct supervision of the region. He will play a critical role in quality and expansion of credit program management at all levels under these regions. In order to keep all the activities under the scope of the work area ongoing and dynamic, he will provide the necessary directions subject to the determination to be made. He will take the opinion/advice/approval of the Chief Credit Officer of the Central Office in conducting all activities. He will be accountable to the Chief Credit Officer for all activities and implement the following managerial aspects at field level:

Job Responsibilities
  • A. Program Management:
  • Viewing the Automation Software every morning and constantly providing feedback and instructions to the field, analyzing the schedule of the program and providing necessary guidance and assistance.
  • To plan Branch/Association visits considering progress/deterioration/problems.
  • Regular monitoring and follow-up whether loan activities are being conducted at the branch level by following and enforcing the loan policies of the organization. Taking necessary measures if there is any deviation.
  • Checking and approving loan application of own approved loan limit and Sample Test of approved loan application of Area and Branch Manager.
  • To assess whether assigned/prescribed/assigned responsibilities are properly performed/implemented according to plan on affiliated staff at all levels and to take and ensure necessary measures to fill up any deficiencies.
  • Take, implement and follow up the necessary initiatives to expand the activities of the work area.
  • b. Fund Management:
  • Determining the fund requirement based on the inflow and outflow business plan of the branch and sending and returning the fund requirement to the central office accordingly.
  • Monitoring expenditure as per approved budget and ensuring maximum utilization of funds.
  • Monitoring expenditure and ensuring savings by approving bill-vouchers.
  • To ensure risk free storage of branch hand stock and proper and sound bank management.
  • c. Human Resource Management:
  • To determine the actual staff requirement of the branch as per the organizational norms and to take necessary action in case of staff shortage or excess.
  • To play the role of Mentor in the field of Staff Development and to take measures of orientation and training in necessary cases.
  • Taking preventive measures to prevent staff irregularities and corruption and recommending administrative and legal measures if corruption is identified.
  • Ensuring proper working environment and facilities for the staff.
  • Motivate, encourage and support the work of the staff and if they have any problem, take initiative to solve it.
  • Approve/recommend leave of staff as per policy.
  • To play a role in performance evaluation of the branch.
  • d. Office Management:
  • Observing whether the cleanliness of office furniture, office decoration, accommodation and security measures are correct and taking necessary action.
  • Monitoring the proper maintenance of office documents and files and registers and taking action where necessary.
  • Ensuring proper use and preservation of all fixed assets including purchase.
  • Verifying and approving necessary documents at office level.
  • e. Communication and Coordination:
  • To maintain communication and co-ordination with the public at various levels of the society including various individuals/institutions, government and private. To ensure the participation of representatives in district, upazila meetings. Attend important meetings yourself.
  • Participation in various meetings/seminars/workshops.
  • Coordinating the implementation of the activities according to the policies and instructions of the organization through close communication with the central office and all level officials at the field level.
  • f. Reporting:
  • Preparing reports based on monthly progress review with various Indicator Analysis data from Automation Software and providing instructions to the field accordingly.
  • Solving problems found in audit and monitoring and informing the central office.
  • G. Others:
  • Always diligent in performing any duty assigned by the authority.
